SISS school band "E.P. Street" won the regional finals of SCHOOL JAM last Thursday evening in „DAS BETT“ in Frankfurt. It was half past eight when the band leader of AberHallo, winner of SchoolJam 2016 and this evening also presenter of the regional finals in „DAS BETT“ in Frankfurt, asked the audience for a drum-roll to underline the dramatic atmosphere when he finally announced the two winning bands of the evening: „And the second band that most impressed the jury this night is: E.P. Street!“
There was no stopping for Amelie (Lead Vocals) and Adeline (Piano, Acoustic Guitar) Schuermann, Milan (Bass) and Filip Jankovic (Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Background Vocals), Sean Teichert (Drums, Background Vocals) and the group of supporters with friends, family members and some SISS teachers, coached by Claudia Schuermann. „We never thought of winning tonight, it is unbelievable“, Filip Jankovic exclaimed. The regional final in Frankfurt hosted 10 bands. Each one had to play two songs, mostly cover songs. While some of the other bands played hard rock songs, E.P. Streets picked two softer ones: „One and Only“ (Adele) and Patience (Guns ‘n Roses). The band is now one of the TOP 18 school bands in Germany and if they are voted as one of the TOP 8 bands in the online voting on SPIEGEL ONLINE, Huffington Post, regioactive, und PPV Medien, they will be invited to play live in April at the world’s largest music trade fair „Frankfurter Musikmesse“, where the finals of SCHOOLJAM Germany will take place. We keep our fingers crossed; don’t forget to vote for E.P. Street.
