School start after the spring break 2021

Dear Parents,

We would like to inform you briefly about possible school routines after the spring break.

According to the current planning, the Hessian Ministry of Education envisages that all prima-ry children will return to school on a daily basis after the Easter holidays. This would imply that we are back to full class sizes again. In this case, the children will continue to be assigned to the four cohorts, which will remain separated throughout the day in school with staggered break times on the playground and in the dining hall.
It would also imply that we would not have any additional emergency care groups; thus hot lunch options would be available again.

Another possibility would be that the school continues to operate as it does at the moment, with alternating school days and emergency care groups. In this case, the first school day af-ter the holidays would be

  • Monday, 19th April 2021 for group A and
  • Tuesday, 20th April 21 for group B

If possible, the corresponding emergency care groups would be offered again. The option of hot lunches would not be available.

Currently, we cannot predict whether other options will also be considered.

Please note that the final decision about the school start will depend on the incidence num-bers. Experience has shown that schools and parents will get the information on very short notice, very likely towards the end of the last week of the holidays.

On behalf of the SISS Primary team, I would like to thank you sincerely for all the support you gave your children during the alternate school days and for your trust in us teachers and ped-agogical staff.

We wish you and your children a sunny and restful spring break after these challenging weeks and we hope to see you all safe and sound in mid-April.

On behalf of the SISS Primary Team,
