Back to school for SISS Primary!

Dear Parents of SISS Primary,

According to the latest information of the Ministry of Education we are approaching the next phase of the “back to normal school routines” in Primary schools.

We would like to inform you about the general setting for SISS Primary:  As of Monday, 22nd June 2020 all Primary children will be back to school.

School hours for Flex children will be from 8.30 – 12.30 am.

School hours for Upper Primary children will be from 8:45 – 12.45 am.  Due to the new regulations, all children can attend school at the same time. The 1.5m distance rule does not apply as long as the classes/groups are not mixed. Therefore the Flexible Lower Primary classes will not be grouped for English, Maths or German; in all classes there will be neither Daz nor DaZstark lessons will be taking place.

Furthermore, staff members will not be able to teach different classes e.g. for subject teaching.

Thus, the children will be with their class teacher / cover teacher all morning.  Please note: From the 22nd of June until the beginning of the school summer vacation (6 July 2020) parents may decide whether or not they would like their children to attend classes. It is the parent’s responsibility to inform the head teacher in writing if they decide not to send their child to school for these last two weeks.

Home schooling packages will be provided as before.

More details about the settings will be sent out next week.

With kind regards, Uta Wetterich
