On Wednesday 13th June, the SISS Primary Year 3 ‘Wild Wolves’ class was visited by Filip, a member of the ‘Skipping Hearts’ organisation. This organisation is part of the Deutsche Herzstiftung and aims to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle to children. The class was taught a number of new and exciting moves to try with their skipping ropes and presented their new skills to the other year 3 class.
The children chose which new moves to present, some were very challenging but everyone gave it a go! Filip also thrilled us with his own short performance, where he displayed his amazing skipping skills. Wow! Everyone was able to take part, from rope skipping beginners to experienced jumpers, and everyone’s heart and body had a good workout! The children have continued to practice on the playground, and have shared their experience and skills with the other members of the school. Hopefully, we will have another session next year, we can’t wait!
